Volite uses Hyaluronic acid, a substance that is naturally found and produced in the body, therefore allergic reactions are not expected.
Volite does contain lidocaine to minimize discomfort, so anyone with an allergy to lidocaine should avoid the treatment.
Volite’s main side effects come from the actual injection site.
As with any injection there is always a chance of bruising, redness and tenderness at the injection site.
Volite does require multiple tiny injections, therefore small bruising is expected. These are very superficial and will resolve quickly.
There are steps that patients can do to minimize any potential injection side effects.
- Avoid alcohol 24 to 48 hours before and after your treatment.
