Artecoll® Toronto

Artecoll® is an injectable micro-implant used for a more permanent correction of wrinkles and othe skin depressions.

Artecoll consists of tiny microspheres blended with a small amount of collagen and a trace dose of anesthetic to relieve mild tenderness after treatment.

When Artecoll is injected under a crease, the microspheres fill in the depression, raising the skin to its normal height. After 3 months, the injected collagen dissolves, and is replaced by your body's own collagen which binds the microspheres in place. Because of this "anchoring" effect, Artecoll® can maintain its results for up to 5 years.

Artecoll® can be used to correct facial folds and wrinkles, acne scars, vertical and horizontal frown lines, depressed corners of the mouth and can create fuller lips.

Treatments and corrections are best performed over 2 to 4 treatments with intervals of at least 6 to 8 weeks before repeat injection sessions. This will allow time for the collagen carrier to dissolve and the microspheres to be properly implanted.

Beautical

What is Beautical®?

Beautical consists of dissolved polyacrylamide hydrogel, which is manufactured according to the highest quality specifications. Beautical’s duration is comparable to permanent fillers, the difference is that Beautical is a temporary filler. Beautical can be applied very accurately to the skin and has excellent filling and smoothing properties.

The supple gel augments volume and the result is a natural, healthy-looking radiant skin and smoothing of wrinkles and furrows. Beautical actively interacts with the skin to attract negatively charged collagen in the skin like a magnet and form a dense network with the skin's own collagen. The gel becomes integrated with the skin tissue and its presence is not palpable. Enzymes in the body gradually degrade the gel over a period of two to five years and the gel is eliminated from the body via a natural pathway. Because of this property, Beautical is an extremely safe long lasting product.

Most temporary implants are effective for about half a year to 12 months; in contrast, the results of treatment with Beautical are apparent for a period of two up to five years. Beautical exists in two forms: Beautical 2 for correction of finer wrinkles and furrows and Beautical 5 for correction of deeper furrows, folds and facial enhancement.

Why is Beautical a long lasting filler?

Whereas most polyacrylamides are insoluble and do not break down, Beautical has been made in such a way that the gel is broken down very slowly by tissue enzymes and then removed completely from the body. This patented technology allows Beautical to be used in all levels of the skin to achieve long-lasting, natural looking results.

Beautical 2 can be used for deep lines and folds such as nose to mouth lines, heavier forehead lines and chin lines. It is also used to enhance lips and treat lipstick lines. Beautical 2 lasts for approximately two years in the tissues.
