Chemical Peels

Skin Resurfacing Peels are carefully accessed and chosen for your skin type and concerns. Peels can be used to treat various skin problems with different application methods.

Chemical Peel, before Chemical Peel, after

chemical peels can...

  • Improve depressed pits
  • Improve deep wrinkles
  • Gently polish the skin surface
  • Diminishes scar, acne marks and stretch marks
  • To make a visible exfoliation and prompt fresh, new skin growth

Although our skin is able to replace old cells with new ones, over time this natural exfoliating process begins to slow down as we age.

With chemical peels, a solution of one or more exfoliating agents is applied on the face to remove the rough upper layer of skin and to stimulate rejuvenation of new skin cells. The result: tighter, smoother skin that is relatively free of lines and blemishes.

Lactic Peel (Sensitive Skin _ Anti-Aging)
This acid from sour milk or yoghourt has high hydration power. The secrets of this recipe dates back to the days of Cleopatra. This non-irritating peel treats small wrinkles and skin photo aging. It also simulates new collagen and elastin fiber formation. The Lactic Peel reduces solar damage; dryness improves texture, skin tone/aspect and general activation collagen and elastin. Lactic acid whitening properties help achieve a more uniform skin tone giving back lost luminosity reducing small blemishes of melanic origin.

Glycolic Peel (Light to Medium Peel – depending on % of strength)
Glycolic is derived from sugar cane with excellent anti-aging properties. The Latic Acid Peel consists of lactic acid, natural salicylic acid and papaya enzyme. Rich in vitamins, minerals, vegetable hormones and sugar with an important capacity for collagen creation stimulation, encouraging skin cell regeneration. In the cell renewal process, Glycolic Peels favor elimination of toxins from the skin helping to oxygenate and energize.

Piruvex Peel (Deep Peel & Deep Wrinkle/Scar Treatment)
It is used for the treatment of deep wrinkles. It is composed of Pyruvic acid 40% and Lactic Acid 10%. Pyruvic acid is an alfa-ketoacid found in apples, vinegar and honey. Its high acidity and low molecular size enable it to easily penetrate the skin particularly in lipophilic areas. It provides good results in the treatment of aged skin, improves the aspect of acne scars, actinic keratosis and alterations in skin texture. After peel, skin is improved in tonicity , luminosity and smoothness.

Melanostop Peel (Hyperpigmentation- Age Spots)
The Melanostop peel is composed of Azelaic acid 20%, Resorcinol 10% and Phytic acid 6% Is it especially formulated to treat Melasma , brown spots and hyperpigmentation Its effect is based on the synergic action of its three ingredients, composed of Azelaic acid 20%, Resorcinol 10% and Phytic acid 6%Azelaic acid has a tyrosine inhibitor effect.

Jessner Peel (Treatment of Blemishes, Acne and Moderate anti-aging)
It is composed of Salicylic acid 14%, Lactic acid 14% and Citric acid 8%. The combination of these three acids achieves recovery of lost skin tone, texture and luminosity. It is ideal for dull, slightly wrinkled, sensitive and dark skins. It also treats chronological aging and/or actinic acne, superficial scarring and slight epidermis hyper pigmentations.

There are several types of chemical peel techniques:

  • light and medium peels are used to remove superficial wrinkles and discoloration
  • resurfacing peels are recommended for diminishing fine wrinkles, age spots, sun damage and uneven pigmentation
  • deep chemical peels are used to treat more severe conditions

Generally, the deeper the peel, the longer the recovery. After light peels, patients may return to their normal activities immediately and wear cosmetics to conceal the redness.

Following any skin peel, your new skin will be sensitive for several months, so you must use maximum sun protection containing micronized zinc oxide. Peels can be repeated as necessary to achieve and maintain desired results.
